AZF2 input is used to monitor the External Silence Key Switch (Bulgin 6083/c Key Switch). The external
switch will put a short across AZF2. The firmware is modified to reserve AZF2 on NZ panels for this purpose.
When the key switch is put in the silence position, all alerting devices are turned off by acknowledging all the
alarms and setting BI to true in scripts similar to pressing the SILENCE key on the keypad. Once the key is
switched to the normal position, all alarms will be isolated. Finally BI is set to false to allow alerting of new alarms.
A fault is also generated when the switch is activated to alert the user to the isolated state of the outputs.
Note: When the Brigade Silence key switch is returned to normal, a REMOTE ALARMES SILENCED defect is
generated and must be reset by the service technician after resetting and de-isolating the alarms.

AZF1 is reserved for the NZ Trial Evacuate key switch mounted on outer door (Bulgin 6083/c Key Switch) and the
normally open door switch mounted on the inner door.
Trial Evacuate Switch
Turning the trial evacuate key switch to the on position will put a short across AZF1 creating an alarm on
the panel which in turn activates the warning system output. WI can be included in the script for other
outputs such as addressable sounders to activate them when the Trial Evacuate key switch is turned on
or the EVAC TEST button on the keypad is pressed.
Door Switch
The normally open door switch is wired up in series with a 4k7 EOL and creates an open circuit fault on
AZF1 when the panel door is opened. The fault is removed when the panel door is closed unless the bell
and/or warning sign outputs are isolated in which case the panel buzzer will re-sound to alert the operator.
