1.6 Low Battery Voltage Detection
The Matrix 424 and 832 printed circuit boards now have a low voltage battery disconnect feature, which
provide monitoring of the battery. The area circled shows the low voltage detect relay and switch.
If the control panel is operating only on battery (for example after a mains failure) the battery will
automatically be disconnected if the voltage drops to 10.5V, this saves the battery from going into deep
discharge.
The switch can also be used to enable a battery voltage to the control panel, if a battery is connected before
the mains.
