usuallyappearsasaspiralofsmalldotsfromthedisplaycentre

Typically,yourvessel’spositionisatthecenterofthedisplay,
anditsdeadaheadbearingisindicatedbyaverticalheading
line,knownastheShip’sHeadingMarker(SHM).
Note:IfthecursorisplacedovertheSHM,theSHMwill
temporarilyberemovedtohelpplacingmarkersoracquiring
targetsetc.
On-screentargetsmaybelarge,small,brightorfaint,depending
onthesizeoftheobject,itsorientationandsurface.Ifusing
anon-HDdigitalradomescanner,strongesttargetreturnsare
displayedinyellowwithweakerreturnsin2shadesofblue.If
usingaHDorSuperHDradarscanner,strongertargetreturns
showasdifferentcolorsfromarangeof256colors,providing
betterclarity.Beawarethatthesizeofatargetonscreen
