PerformingaSpeedRunCalibrationusingSOG
Ifahigherlevelofprecisionisrequiredthanthatachievedwiththe1PointSpeedCalibration
procedure,aSpeedRunCalibrationshouldbeperformed.TheSpeedRunCalibrationwillensure
thattheLogSpeedreadingisaccurateoverthevessel’sfullspeedrange.
Prerequisites:
•SOGdatamustbeavailable.
•Y ouwillneedtobeunderway,withsufficientspacetomaneuverunhindered.
•Inordertoachieveaccurateresults,waterconditionsmustbecalmwithzerotideandzerocurrent.
Note:
SpeedRunCalibrationcannotbeperformedwhenthetransducerisconnectedusingaSpeedP od.
