1Fuelmanageroverview
Thefuelmanagerfeaturedisplaysessentialdataaboutthefuelofyourvessel.
Fuelmanagerestimatestheamountoffuelonboard,basedonyouloggingeachtimeyoufillup,
thetotalfuelcapacity,andhowmuchfuelisburnedbytheengine(s).Thisdataisusedtoestimate
thedistanceandtimeuntilfueldepletion.Additionally,fuelmanagercandisplayenginefuelflow
rateandeconomy.
Important:
•T
oensureaccuratecalculationsyoumustrecordallfuelyouaddtoyourfueltanksusingeither
the Setalltanksfullor Addpartialfillsettings.
•Thissystemisnotasubstituteforotherfuelcalculations.YoushouldnotrelyontheFuel
managercalculationsforaccuratevoyageplanningorinemergencyandsafetycriticalsituations.
•Fuelestimatesarespecifictoeachdisplay.
TheFuelmanagerrequiresthefollowingNMEA2000PGNstobeavailableonyoursystem:
•FuelUsed(PGN127497),or
•Fuelflowrate(PGN127489).

Detectfuelmessages
Fuelmanagergeneratesfuelestimatesbasedon FuelUsed(Trip)or FuelFlowRatemessages.
Y oucanseewhichofthesemessagesareavailableonyoursystemfromtheFuelManager’s Set-up
menu(Menu>Fuelmanager>Set-up):
1.Startyourvessel’sengines.
2.Select
Detectfuelmessages.
Thescreenwillupdatetoidentifywhichmessagesaredetected.
Note:
A fter15secondsifnomessageisdetectedthenthestatuswilldisplay“ Notfound”.

TheFuelmanagermenuallowsyoutosetupandusetheFuelmanager .
