3.14 Control parameters
A number of control parameters can be readjusted to optimize control performance.
This can be done on the thermostat using the HMI, or the tool. These parameters
can also be set during operation without opening the unit. In the event of a power
failure, all control parameter settings are retained, see section 3.14.
The control parameters are assigned to one of the two levels:
· Service level - The Service level contains a small set of parameters to set up
the thermostat for the HVAC system and to adjust the user interface. These
parameters can be adjusted any time.
· Expert level including communications, diagnostics and test.- At the Expert
level, you must change the parameters carefully since they impact the
thermostat’s control performance and functionality.
3.14.1 Setting parameters using the local HMI
Wake up the thermostat by touching the screen display.
Factory setting for the Service level password is 00 00.
1. Touch and hold down the icon for 5 seconds. Then set the first 2-digit
number to 00 using /.
2. Touch the last 2-digit number and set it to 00 using /.
3. After 3 seconds, P (successful login) or F (fail to login) is displayed.
4. If the login failed, reenter the correct password as per step 1 above. After
successful login, the first parameter is displayed as shown in the following
example:
· Touch any icon to exit.
· Touch / to select any parameter and +/ to adjust values.
· When reaching END, touch END to exit.
· The password can be modified using the ACS tool.
Follow the same steps for entering the Service level.
Factory setting for Expert level password is 99 99.
The “User level password” (P29) for entering the Service level and the “Installer level
password” (P99) for entering the Expert level are not visible in the parameter list and
cannot be modified by using the local HMI.
