4.1 Configuring the IM 151/CPU
Configure the IM 151/CPU interface module as a DP slave or as a stand-alone
module.
The IM 151/CPU is presented to the user in
STEP7
as an S7-300 module that is
always created together with a rack in an S7-300 station. Similarly, the module can
only be deleted with the rack!
Expansion racks cannot be configured in an S7-300 station that contains an
IM151/CPU. The IM 151/CPU is positioned at slot 2 and receives a DP submodule.
This configuration applies both to the variant with RS 485 and the variant with a
fiber-optic cable connection. The first plug-in modules can be configured as of
slot 4.
