ENGINE REMOVAL AND REMOUNTING
ENGINE REMOVAL
Before taking the engine out of the frame, wash the engine us-
ing a steam cleaner. Engine removal is sequentially explained in
the following steps.
Remove the seat and frame covers. ( 6-2)
Drain the engine oil. ( 2-11)
Drain the engine coolant. ( 2-15)
Remove the carburetor. ( 4-10)
Disconnect the - battery lead wire and engine ground cou-
pler. (DR-Z400E)
Remove the engine side covers.
Remove the engine plate.
Disconnect the generator couplers.
