On receiving access to the Vitalograph Fusion Quality Assured Spirometry
System the user will be provided with the over-read functionality.
3.17.1 Setup mail settings
Spirotrac must be setup with a suitable mail server in order to send data to an over-
reader.
1. Select Tools > Options from the Main Menu. Select Mail Setup.
2. Enter the details required as follows:
a. SMTP Server The mail server name with your Internet Service Provider
(ISP)
b. SMTP Port The mail server port number with your Internet Service
Provider (ISP), typically but not always: port 25.
c. Connection The dialup connection to establish during transmission, if
required.
d. SMTP Username The user ID of your account with the ISP, if a login is
required.
e. SMTP Password The user password of your account with the ISP, if a
login is required.
f. Over-Read E-Mail Address The email address of the over-reader to
which any session data is to be sent.
3. The connections button will take the user to the System Dial-up connection
manager.
4. A test button is provided to check settings.
3.18 Reference Curve and Data
Spirotrac allows the user to compare the best test (curve and data) from a user
defined reference session. When set, the reference test will appear in both the data
and graph results.
1. To enable Reference Curve functionality select Tools > Options > General.
2. Click Yes for the Reference Curve and Data option. (To disable the
functionality, click No.)
3. To set a session as a reference session right click on the required session and
select the Set as Reference option.
3.19 Health Level 7 Interface
Health Level 7 (HL7) is an internationally recognised standard for the exchange and
management of electronic healthcare information between Electronic Medical Record
(EMR) systems and Spirotrac.

3.19.1 Changing Health Level 7 (HL7) Settings within Spirotrac
1. Select Tools > Options > Advanced.
2. Check HL7 as enabled to enable HL7. (Uncheck to disable.)
