Energy Saving Settings
Setting Energy Saver Mode
1. In Xerox
®
CentreWare
®
Internet Services, click Properties > General Setup > Energy Saver.
2. For Exit Sleep Mode Strategy, select an option:
− Intelligent Ready: The printer wakes and sleeps based on previous usage.
− Job Activated: The printer wakes when it detects activity.
• To set the delay before the printer enters Low-Power mode, for Ready Mode, enter the
minutes.
• To set the delay before the printer enters Sleep mode, for Low Power Mode, enter the
minutes
• Click Apply.
− Scheduled: The printer wakes and sleeps according to a schedule that you specify. To specify
the schedule:
• To allow the printer to wake when it senses activity on a specific day of the week, for
Schedule Based on, select Activity.
• To wake the printer at a specific time for any day of the week, for Schedule Based On,
select Time. To set the time that the printer wakes up, select a Warm Up time. To specify
the time that the printer sleeps, select an Energy Saver time.
3. To allow the printer to poll Novell print queues, select Resume Network Controller Briefly to Poll
Novell Print Queues During Sleep Mode. Type the time in seconds to define the interval that the
printer uses to come out of sleep mode.
4. To allow the printer to broadcast SAP during sleep mode, select Resume Network Controller Briefly
to Broadcast Service Advertising Protocol (SAP) During Sleep Mode. Type the time in seconds to
define the interval that the printer uses to come out of sleep mode.
5. Click Apply.
