Installing the throttle cable
1. Fully screw in the throttle cable joint “1” to
the throttle cable “2”.
2. Disengage the holder “1” from the throttle
cable holder “2”.
TIP:
Throttle cable position can be adjusted using
the throttle cable holder “2”.
3. Install the throttle cable “1” to the throttle
cable holder “2” and fasten it using the
holder “3”.
4. Move throttle lever 2 “1” so that it con-
tacts the stopper “2” on the cylinder
block.
5. Adjust the throttle cable joint “1”, and
then install the throttle cable joint “1” to
the pin “2” of the throttle lever 2.
The throttle cable joint must be screwed
in 8.0 mm (0.31 in) or more “a”.
TIP:
• Pull the inner cable “3” to remove any free
play in the cable.
• When it is not possible to ensure cable
screw-in length of 8.0 mm (0.31 in) or more,
remove the throttle cable holder “4”, and
then reinstall it to the holes “b” or “c” to
adjust the length.
