You can use this utility function to set the current position of the external
absolute encoder as the origin when you are using a Linear Servomotor
or when you are using an external absolute encoder for fully-closed loop
control.
The external absolute encoders from the following manufacturers are
supported.
Environmental Resistant Absolute Linear Scale from Mitutoyo Cor-
poration
ABS ST780A Series
Model: ABS ST78
A/ST78AL
Preparations
Always check the following before you set origin.
• The parameters must not be write-prohibited (Fn010 must be set to
0000).
• The servo must be OFF.
• The servo must be in ready status.
