Start-up
Contents of this chapter
This chapter contains the start-up procedure of the drive. The default device designations
(if any) are given in brackets after the name, for example “main switch-disconnector (Q1)”.
The same device designations are also used in the circuit diagrams, typically.

WARNING! Obey the safety instructions during the start-up procedure. See chapter Safety
instructions on page 13.
Checks/Settings with no voltage connected
Check the mechanical and electrical installation of the drive.See Installation checklist on page 89.
Powering up the drive
Close the cabinet doors.
Make sure that it is safe to connect voltage. Ensure that:
• cabinet doors are closed
• nobody is working on the drive or circuits that have been wired from outside into the drive cabinet
• cover of the motor terminal box is on.
Close the main switch-disconnector (Q1).
