Wind the thread clockwise once around the
thread tension disc.

• Make sure that the thread is securely caught in the
thread tension disc.

Pass the thread through the middle thread
guide under the guide plate from the left.

Pass the thread along the slot to pass it
through the thread take-up lever hole from
the right side.

Drawing it down through the slot in the
thread guide, then through the hole in the
cover.
