Dell
PowerEdge R510 Technical Guide 35
5.4 Maximum Input Amps
The power supply is equipped with automatic input voltage detection. Maximum input amps are as
follows:
• Non-redundant power supply: 7.5 - 3.8 A at 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz
• Redundant power supply: 10.8 - 5 A at 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz
5.5 Energy Star Compliance
PowerEdge R510-8 meets Energy Star requirement with limitation for two processors.
480W Non-Redundant: 80+ BRONZE
PowerEdge R510 PSU 80+ Standard:
750W Redundant: 80+ GOLD
1100W Redundant: 80+ GOLD
5.6 Acoustics
The acoustical design of the PowerEdge R510 reflects the following:
• Adherence to Dell’s high sound quality standards. Sound quality is different from sound
power level and sound pressure level in that it describes how humans respond to annoyances
in sound, like whistles, hums, etc. One of the sound quality metrics in the Dell specification is
prominence ratio of a tone, and this is listed in the table below.
• Noise ramp and descent at bootup. Fan speeds, hence noise levels, ramp during the boot
process to add a layer of protection for component cooling in the case that the system does
not boot properly.
• Noise levels vs. configurations. Hardware configurations affect system noise levels. Dell’s
thermal control provides for optimized cooling with varying hardware configurations, as shown
in the table below:
