Figure 21 Configuration Properties of AMS Tag (Configuration)
1 If BB timeout to Fault is enabled a Beam-Block that persists for
longer than the configured time limit will cause the Analog Out-
put to be Fault level (<1mA).
2 If the Warning Current output is enabled then any of the warn-
ings listed below cause this output in place of 4.0 mA, pro-
vided there is no gas reading exceeding the deadband. Thus it
provides an indication that more information is available, but
does not affect the measurement of gas. The default setting
3.5mA causes the Draeger Regard Optical card to display
'WARN'. The warnings are for: Optics; Receiver Supply;
Receiver temperature; Receiver Alignment; Transmitter; Trans-
mitter Alignment. Please refer to the Dräger Polytron Pulsar 2
Status tab for their individual descriptions.

Proper selection of Channel avoids interference with other instru-
ments nearby. Receiver and Transmitter must have the same
Channel whereas neighbouring Dräger Polytron Pulsar 2s should
be set to a different Channel.
4 Auto-Zero Tracking allows small gas readings that persist for a
long time to be interpreted as zero drift and automatically can-
celled. It must not be enabled in installations where a slow
build up of gas concentration is possible.
