Open the side cover.

Remove the tape fixing the lever.
Be sure to remove the tape fixing the lever.
If you use the machine without removing the
tape, the machine cannot detect the presence
of the folding plate 2.

Check that the folding stopper does not
protrude from the cover on the paper
feeding side of the folding plate 2.
Whenattachingthefoldingstoppertothis
machine with the folding stopper protruding
from the cover, the folding stopper will touch
inside the machine. If so, rotate the gear in
the direction of an arrow to move the folding
stopper to the inner section of the cover.
Do not hold the belt section of the folding
plate 2. Doing so will result in malfunction
of the machine.

Hold the folding plate 2 as shown in the figure, and insert it into the machine.
Holdtheareasthatareindicatedwiththelabelsonthefoldingplate2.
