2.5 Installation - Gas Conditioning
2.5 Gas Conditioning
In order to ensure trouble-free operation, spe-
cial attention must be paid to the preparation
of the gases:
All gases must be conditioned
before supplying to the analyzer,
to be
• dry,
free of dust and
free of any aggressive com-
ponents which may damage
the gas lines (e.g. by corrosi-
on or solvents).
Pressure and gas ow must remain within
the values given in the
„Measurement
Speci cations“ section within this manual.If
moisture cannot be avoided, it is necessary
to ensure that the dew point of the gases is at
least 10 °C (18 °F) below the ambient tempe-
rature to avoid condensate in the gas lines.
Hints for selected gases
Calibration gases for CO and NO need
to be moistured by supplying them via a
cooler.
EXPLOSION HAZARD
Consider that some gases may be harmful to explosion protection safety
components, if due to an internal leak released into the enclosure!
If need be take into account additional safety measures!
