Service and Maintenance
EXPLOSION HAZARD WHEN OPEN
Service or replacement of safety related components or requiring to open
the instrument are permitted only if no hazardous atmosphere is present
and both the instrument and connected circuitry are de-energized!
Depending on the local regulation this may require a competent hot work
supervisor to issue a hot work permit.
EXPLOSION HAZARD
Inspection, maintenance and service must only be carried out by trained
personnel, considering all related standards e.g. for „Inspection and
maintenance of electrical installations in hazardous areas“ or „Equipment
repair, overhaul and reclamation“.
All applicable standards for servicing and maintaining equipment in
hazardous areas have to be considered!
