REPAIRS/ADJUSTMENTS
4.12.1 PTS SENSOR
Refer to Figure 4-22
1. Remove the Upper Case (4.1).
2. Loosen the screw on the PTS board.
3. Connect the printer to power and perform a
self test. During the self test slide the PTS
board from side to side and listen for
consistent carri^e speed in both directions.
4. Position the Ptb board to provide equal
carriage speed in both directions as
determmed in step 3 and tighten the screw
on the PTS board. Apply Loctite (6.2.2) to
the screw head.

4.13 PAPER FEED MOTOR ASSEMBLY
Refer to Figure 4-23
Removal
7.
Remove the Upper Case(4.1).
Remove the Printer Mechanism (4.7).
Remove the wire band which holds the lead
wires to the Paper Feed Motor.
Remove the cup screws securing the paper
feed motor (fig. 4-23).
If this is an RX or MX Printer go to step 7.
(FX) Unplug the lead of tne Paper Feed
Motor from connector CN4 on the Main
Board.
On RX and MX Printers unsolder the 6 leads
from the Terminal Board (fig. 4-24).

NOTE: Use figure 4-24 to solder leads in proper

1. Reassemble in reverse order.
2. Perform the Paper Feed Motor Adjustment.
