REPAIR ANALYSIS PROCEDURES
2.1 POWER
Remove top cover (Procedure 4.1). Reconnect control panel (Procedure 4.2). Turn
ftower on. Measure the transformer input voltage on the filter board. See TABLE 2.4
or values and Figure 2-1 for plug location.
Voltage is correct.
YES NO
Disconnect power. Check fuse F1on the filter board.
The fuse is good and the fuse connection is good
YES NO
Proceed to RAP 2.2
Check wall outlet for 115 VAC. Ifincorrect, have the customer repair. If
correct, replace filter board.
Return to the initial checks and continue.
2. Measure transformer output voltage on the main circuit board. See TABLE 2.4 for
values and Figure 2-2 for plug location.
Voltages are correa.

Turn poweroff. Disconnect transformer output plug from mainboard (Figure
2-2) Turn poweronandmeasurethe Transformer output voltagesonthe

Voltages are correct.

• Replace transformer (Procedure 4.3).
Return to the initial checks and continue.

Turn power off. Disconnect printer mechanism (Procedure 4.7) from the main
board. Connect transformer plug to the main board. Turn power on. Measure
the transformer output voltages. See TABLE 2.4 for values and Figure 2-2 for
plug location.
All voltages are correct.
YES NO
Replace main board (Procedure 4.6)
Return to the initial checks and continue.
Replace printer mechanism (Procedure 4.7)
Return to the initial checks and continue.
3. Measure the power LED inputvoltage from the control board. See TABLE 2.4for
values and Figure 2-3 for plug location
Voltage is correct.
YES NO
Replace main board (Procedure 4.6). Connect all connectors.
Return to the initial checks and continue.
4. Replace Control Panel (Procedure 4.2). Connect all connectors.
Return to the initial checks and continue.
