2.9 INCORRECT PRINTING
Note: See chart 2.1 'Print Quality(Probable Causes)', on page 2-11,
before continuing with RAP2.9
1. Remove top cover (Procedure 4.1). Reconnectcontrol panel (Procedure 4.2). Pressand
hold the Draft/LF or LF switch, turn power on. Release switch when printer starts to
print.
Print isproduced on the paper (regardless of the quality).

Proceed to RAP 2.10
2. Characters printed are dark.
YES NO
Ribbon advances when the carriage moves left and right.
YES NO
Proceed to RAP 2.11
Ribbon is fresh, ink is not dried out.
YES NO
Replace ribbon with a new ribbon.
Return to the initial checks and continue.
3. Check and adjust(if necessary) the platen to print head gap. and ribbon mask
(Procedure 4.8.1 & 4.8.2).
Problem is solved.
