Periodic CL Cycle
Auto Performs head cleaning at the most suitable time according to the
media settings.
If the specified time for periodic cleaning is reached during printing,
head cleaning is performed after printing is complete.
Manual Set the interval for periodic cleaning in Printing Time or Media Usage.
When Printing Time is selected, set in Enter Time how long the
accumulated printing time should be before doing head cleaning.
When Media Usage is selected, set in Enter Length how many meters
the length of the media that was used for media feed, such as printing
or drying feed, should be before doing head cleaning.
For When To Clean, set to do head cleaning even when the specified
time for periodic cleaning is reached during printing or to do it after the
page being printed is complete and before printing for the next page
starts. Because cleaning is done while printing when Middle Of Page is
set, a decline in print quality or the heads may drag.
Cleaning Level sets the strength for head cleaning.

Neither Auto nor Manual periodic cleaning is done.
Prevent Sticking On
Select whether to do non-stick operations (On) or not (Off) when the
printer is turned on, when printing begins, etc.
Off is recommended in normal circumstances. Depending on the type
of media, some may easily stick to the platen. Starting operations with
media stuck to the platen may cause the media to not feed correctly
and result in a paper jam. Set On if this happens. The time for
operations takes longer when On is set.
