7.14 Activate VarioGuide system
7.14.1 Switch on automatic way line guidance
(K) Button with ON/OFF LED, Steering pre-
activation (EHL)
• Press button: The LED will light up if the
self-test was successful.
(J) Button with ON/OFF LED, Automatic wayline
guidance
• Press button briefly: If all activation
conditions are satisfied (see above:
System info), the LED will change from a
flashing to a steady light. The steering
status icon in map view and on the
VarioGuide information page will also turn
green. You can now release the steering
wheel.
•
The operator can try to bring about all
activation conditions while the LED is
flashing.
• If the switch-on attempt fails, the LED will
go out. The button then has to be pressed
again for activation.
