Your Tablet PC has several security features that you can use to secure your system
and your personal data from unauthorized access.
This chapter explains how to use these functions, and what the bene ts are.
Please remember that in some cases, for example, forgetting your password,
you may be locked out of the system and unable to access you r data.
Therefore, plea se note the following information:
Back up your data on externa l data carriers at regular intervals.
Some security functio
ns need you to choose passwords. Make a note
of the passwords and ke
ep them in a safe place.
If you forget your passwords you will need to contact our Service Desk.
Deletion or resetting of passwords are n o t covered by your warranty
and a charge will be made for assistance.
Using the security lock (optional)
Your Universal Docking Cradle or Universal Charging Cradle with AC adapter comes
with a security lock device for the Kensingt on® Lock cable. Using the Kensingto n Lock
with its sturdy steel cable, you can protect y our Tablet PC an d the cradle against theft.
The Kensington Lock cable is available as an accessory.
Fujitsu recommends the use of a combination lock.
