3.3.3.5.3 Degassing Pressure Control System
The Flow Pump generates the negative degassing pressure by pulling the fluid through
the degassing restrictor.
The degassing pressure set point comes from the presets. The default value is -610
mmHg, but can be preset to other values (-300 to -700 mmHg in 5 mmHg steps) in
case the AK 98 dialysis machine is operated at other altitudes than sea level. See the
relation between pressure and altitude in Table 3-2 “Degassing pressure as function of
altitude” on page76.
