SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS CONCERNING THE DESIGN

ESPRESSO PRO

• Always ensure that the drip tray and water tank are installed properly, before

putting the appliance into operation. Do not remove the drip tray or water tank

during operation.

• During operation, the appliance is under high pressure. Do not remove the por-

tafilter, while the brewing function is operating to avoid high risk of injuries and

damage due to hot water and steam splashing out violently.

• The metal parts of the portafilter will be very hot during operation and there-

after. Only touch the portafilter by the black handle. Let the portafilter and the

filter basket cool down, before touching the metal parts.

• Do not remove the hot water / steam wand out of the milk, while steam is given

off to prevent hot milk from splashing. Always turn the selection dial back to the

vertical position (OFF), before removing the milk jug from the hot water / steam

wand. Always keep in mind that the hot water / steam wand will be hot during

use and shortly thereafter and hot water and steam may escape. Only touch

the hot water / steam wand by the handle.

• Always switch OFF (turn the selection dial to the vertical position, then press the

POWER button), unplug, and let the appliance cool down before cleaning the

appliance and when the appliance is not in use. Additionally, empty the drip

tray and water tank, before moving the appliance.

These instructions are an essential part of the appliance. Do not

pass the appliance without this booklet to third parties. Care-

fully read all instructions before operating this appliance and save for fur-

ther reference. Do not attempt to use this appliance for any other than the

intended use, described in these instructions.

Any operation, repair and technical maintenance of the appliance or any

part of it (e.g. water system, power cord, or water tank) other than descri-

bed in these instructions may only be performed at an authorised service

centre. Please contact your vendor.

in moving vehicles. Do not operate or store the appliance in humid or
