4. Turn the selection dial clockwise to the brewing position. Let approx. half of the
descaler solution run through the group head. Turn the selection dial back to the
vertical position and wait, until the POWER button is illuminated continuously
again.
5. Turn the selection dial counter-clockwise to the HOT WATER / STEAM position
and let the remaining descaler solution run through the hot water / steam wand,
while observing the filling level in the water tank.
6. As soon as the filling level in the water tank drops below the MIN marking, turn
the selection dial back to the vertical position.
IMPORTANT: Do not remove the water tank with the appliance switched on.
7. Press the POWER button to switch OFF the appliance and unplug the appliance.
8. By the lid, lift the water tank out of the appliance and empty the rest of the desca-
ler solution. Thoroughly purge the water tank with clear tap water. Fill the water
tank with clear tap water up the the MAX filling level. Replace the water tank at
the rear of the appliance.
9. Purge the group head and hot water / steam wand according to the steps 3 to
6.
10. Do not forget to refill the water tank, before operating the appliance again.

Damage caused by lime deposits in the appliance are not part of the warranty
claim. If you wish to send your appliance for a technical review, please do not
enclose any attachments such as portafilter and drip tray
STORING
WARNING: Young children must be supervised that they do not play with the
appliance or any part or accessory of it.
When the appliance is not in use, always
switch OFF (turn the selection dial to the vertical position, then press the POWER but-
ton), and unplug the appliance. Always leave the appliance cool down, before clea-
ning or storing the appliance. Only store the appliance where it is protected against
inadmissible strain (e.g. moisture, electric or mechanic shock, frost, direct sunlight)
and out of reach of young children.
CAUTION: Do not grasp the appliance at the group head, drip tray, water
tank, or power cord for moving it. Always grasp the appliance at both sides at the
bottom of the housing. Ensure to store the appliance in upright position where it is
