tray, when not in use.Before starting a brewing cycle, always ensure
that the portafilter is installed correctly and firmly in the group head.
Do not remove or even loosen the portafilter from the group head
during operation to avoid risk of burns due to hot water and steam.
Always switch OFF the appliance (turn the selection dial to the ver-
tical position, then press the POWER button), before emptying the
drip tray. Otherwise, due to the backflush system of the appliance hot
water could run out.
