Low Oil Pressure Indicator and
Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL)
The low oil pressure indicator ( ) and the
malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) ( )
light when engine oil pressure is low
enough to cause engine damage.
The low oil pressure indicator and the
malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) should
also light when the ignition switch is
turned ON. The malfunction indicator
lamp (MIL) and the low oil pressure
indicator stay on until after the engine is
started.
If the low oil pressure indicator and the
malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) light,
pull safely to the side of the road.
