Suppon the Tap the valve stems gently with two plastic ham-
cylinder head SD mers as shown to seat the cotters f irmly.
the valve heads do
not contact
anything that may
damage them.
Install the carburetor insulator to the cyl inder head
by al igning the groove of the ca r bureto r insulator
with the tab of the cyli nder h ead.
Tighten the carburetor insulator band screw so the
distance between the band ends is follow:
- '05 - '07: 12.0 ± 1.0 mm (0.47 ± 0.04 in)

After '07: 9.0 ± 1.0 mm (0,35 ± 0.04 i n)
Install a new D-ring to the water hose joint .
Install the water hose joint to the cyl inder head.
Install and t ighten the bolt sec ur ely.
