POOR PERFORMANCE AT LOW AND IDLE SPEED
1. Pilot Screw In s pect ion
Check carburetor pilot sc r ew adjustmen t.
Is the a dju s tment correct ?
NO - See page 6-27.
YES - GO TO STE P 2.
2. Accelerator Pump Inspection
Check accelerator pump for clogs.
Is th e Bees/erator pump cioggBd 7
YES - Accelerator not serviced frequently enough.
NO - GO TO STEP 3.

Inta ke Air Leak Ins pection
Check for l eak ing carbur etor insulator.
Is there l esking ?
YES _ . Loose carburetor insulator bands
• Damaged insulator
NO - GO TO STEP 4.
4. Sp ark Test
Perform spark test.
Is thera wesk or I nt er mitten t spark?
YES _ . Faulty spark plug
• Fou led spark plu g
• Loose or disconnected i gn ition system wires
• Broken or shorted igni ti on coil wire
• Faulty ignition coil
• Fau lty igni t ion pulse generator
• Faulty excit er coil

NO
- GO TO ST EP 5.
5. Ignition TIming In s pection
Check ignition timing.
Is the ignition timing correct?
YES - Ignition t imi ng is normal.
