USE THE PHONE
You can use the phone feature to make and receive phone calls as well as transmit
data through wireless wide-area networks (WWANs).
Note: Phone features are only supported on EDA51 WWAN models (EDA51-1).
About the Phone
Phone features on the computer include a speaker and a microphone. You can also
use a Bluetooth headset or hands-free kit.
On EDA51 WWAN models the phone feature is enabled by default and supports all
cellular radio access technologies (2G, 3G, 4G, etc.) for voice and data connections
around the globe.
EDA51 WWAN computers also come equipped with One Nano-SIM card slots.
After you turn On the phone and activate service with your WWAN carrier, you can
customize the phone features and network settings in the Network & Internet
section of the Settings app.
Both WWAN radios support Network Information and Time Zone (NITZ) messages to
automatically set the system time.
Add or Switch Between Network Carriers
The Carrier Configure app only in the EDA51-1 WWAN model make it easy for you
to add carriers and switch between them as needed.
Use the Carrier Configure app to quickly change your WWAN radio network carrier.
1. Swipe up from the bottom of the Home screen to access all apps.
2. Tap Carrier Configure .
3. Select a carrier from the list, and then tap OK.
