6.10 Choke

is fitted on the left side of the carburetor.

Activating the choke function frees a drill hole in the carburetor through which the
engine can draw extra fuel. This results in a richer fuel-air mixture, which is needed
for a cold start.

If the engine is warm, the choke function must be deactivated.
Possible states
• Choke function activated – The choke lever is pulled out to the stop.
• Choke function deactivated – The choke lever is pushed in to the stop.

The neutral or idle position is between the first and second gears.
