2. Long-term storage degrades the electrolytic capacitor. Thus, the AC drive must be
energized once every 2 years, each time lasting at least 5 hours. The input voltage
must be increased slowly to the rated value with the regulator.
2.8 Warranty Agreement
1. The warranty agreement applies only to the AC drive itself.
2. The warranty period of the product is 18 months (refer to the barcode on the
product). After 18 months, a proper maintenance fee is charged.
3. Within the warranty period, maintenance will be charged for the damages due to
the following causes:
a) Improper operation without following the instructions
b) Fire, flood, and abnormal voltage
c) Using the braking unit for non-recommended functions
4. The maintenance fee is charged according to Inovance's uniform standard. If
there is an agreement, the agreement prevails.
2.9 CS500 Selection Guideline
The CS500 supports three control modes, V/F, SFVC and CLVC.
Before the selection, make clear of the technical requirements for variable-frequency
speed adjustment, application scenarios, and load features. Select a proper model and
determine the control mode based on factors such as the adaptable motor, output voltage,
and rated output current.
The basic principle is as follows:
The rated load current of the motor cannot exceed the rated current of the CS500. Select
the CS500 model based on the adaptable motor specified in this manual, and compare
the rated current of the motor and that of the CS500. The overload capacity of the CS500
takes effect to the startup and braking process only when the model is proper. Any
short-time overload during running changes the load speed. If high speed accuracy is
required, select the CS500 model of a higher power class.
2.10 Braking Component Selection Guideline
The braking resistor model is dependent on the generation power of the motor in the
actual system and is also related to the system inertia, deceleration time and potential
energy load. Select the braking resistor based on the actual conditions. The larger the
system inertia, the shorter the deceleration time, and the more frequent the braking is. In
this case, you need to select a braking resistor of larger power and smaller resistance.
Different braking resistor models are required for different crane conditions. For details on
how to select the model, consult the agent or Inovance.
