z The AC drive automatically performs safety check on the external strong-current circuit after
power-on. Do not touch the U, V, W terminals and wiring terminals of the motor. Otherwise,
electric shock may result.
z Prevent personal injury during motor rotation if motor auto-tuning is required.
z
Do not change the factory parameters of the AC drive. Otherwise, equipment damage may
result.
1.1.6 During Running
z Do not touch the fan or the discharge resistor to check the temperature. Otherwise, you may
get burnt.
z Signal detection must be performed only by qualified personnel during operation. Otherwise,
personal injury or equipment damage may result.
z Do not drop stuff into the AC drive during running. Otherwise, the AC drive may be damaged.
z Do not start or stop the AC drive by turning on or off the contactor. Otherwise, the AC drive may
be damaged.
1.1.7 During Maintenance
z Do not repair or maintain the AC drive at power-on. Otherwise, electric shock may result.
z Repair or maintain the AC drive only after ensuring that the input bus voltage is lower than 36
VAC, 2 minutes after power off. Otherwise, residual charge on the capacitor may result in
personal injury.
z Repair or maintenance of the AC drive must be performed only by qualified personnel.
Otherwise, personal injury or equipment damage may result.
z Reset the parameters after the AC drive is replaced. All the pluggable components must be
plugged or removed only after power-off.
1.2 Precautions
1.2.1 Motor Insulation Test
Perform the insulation test when the motor is used for the first time, reused after being
stored for a long time, or in a regular checkup, aiming to prevent poor insulation of motor
windings from damaging the AC drive. The motor must be disconnected from the AC drive
during the insulation test. A 500-V mega-Ohm meter is recommended for the test. Ensure
that the insulation resistance is not less than 5 Mȍ.
1.2.2 Thermal Protection of the Motor
If the rated capacity of the motor selected does not match that of the AC drive, especially
when the rated power of the AC drive is greater than that of the motor, adjust the motor
protection parameters of the AC drive or install a thermal relay for the motor for protection.
