MECHANICAL INSTALLATION
Assembly of the drive converter
For reliable operation, the drive converter must be mounted without any clear-
ance on a smooth, closed, bare metal mounting plate.
3.4.1.1 Mounting instructions for control cabinet installation
The following mounting materials with the appropriate quality must be used to assembly
the drive converters.
Required material Tightening torque
Socket screw ISO 4762 -M6x10andM6x16-8.8
5 Nm
45 lb inch

3.4.2 Installation instructions for at rear heat sink
ATTENTION
Overheating of the device.
Never operate at rear devices without main cooler.
Select suitable cooling surfaces (e.g. water heat sink, ribbed heat
sink, machine base).
Screwtheatrearofthedevicestothecoolingsurface.
Ensure good thermal conductivity (e.g. thermal paste)
The machine builder is responsible for the cooling of the units.
Heat-conducting paste
Information about the correct application of the heat-conducting paste are
available at www.keb.co.uk under the search term "Heat-conducting paste“.
Select correct ow temperature for liquid coolers
Theowtemperaturemustbechooseinsuchaway,thatnomois-
ture condensation occurs.
