REMARK
• If both sides of the cutting edge and end bit are worn,
replace them with new ones.
• If the mounting face of seat (1) is worn as well, repair
it before inverting or replacing.

Remove the cutting edge and end bit.
6.
Clean the mounting face.

Invert the cutting edge and end bit, and install them, or re-
place with new ones.
If bolt (2) and nut (3) are damaged, replace them as well.
Loosen nut (3) and remove bolt (2), then replace or invert.

Install the edge to the blade, and tighten it lightly.
2)
Press the blade against the ground to eliminate of the play of bolt (2).
3)
Tighten the bolt to the specified torque.
Tightening torque of mounting nut
SIGMA dozer: 1330 to 1660 Nm {136 to 169 kgm}
Semi-U dozer: 735.5 to 1000 Nm {75 to102 kgm}

When installing end bit (4), fit its top end (5) to stopper
(6) and tighten the bolt.

After operating several hours, retighten the mounting nut.
METHOD FOR CLEANING AND CHECKING RADIATOR FIN, OIL COOLER FIN,
AND AFTERCOOLER FIN
Perform this procedure if there is any mud or dirt stuck to the radiator, oil cooler, of aftercooler.
REMARK
Check the rubber hoses. If they are cracked or fragile, replace them. Check the hose clamps for looseness as
well.
METHOD FOR CLEANING FIN BY ROTATING HYDRAULIC DRIVE FAN IN RE-
VERSE
NOTICE
When the hydraulic drive fan rotates in reverse, take extreme care of scattering of dust.
When stopping the engine during the Fan Reverse Mode, first run the engine at low idle, then stop it.
The dust and dirt stuck to the radiator and cooler can be blown out by rotating the hydraulic drive fan in the
reverse direction.
