SELECTION PROCEDURE OF RIPPER POINT
REMARK
• When the tip of a symmetrical point is worn and its penetration performance decreases, the penetration
performance can be restored by turning it. Accordingly, it is suitable for ripping of hard-rock beds.
• The rock contact portion of the point is heated to high temperature by friction during ripping and its hard-
ness decreases.
The red point is made of material, the hardness of which decreases at high temperature less than the yel-
low point. Accordingly, it is suitable for ripping of hard rock-beds where it slips frequently during digging
work.
