17.3 Adjusting the idle speed x

– Run the engine warm and push the idle speed adjusting screw 1 all the way in.
– Set the desired idle speed by turning the idle speed adjusting screw.
Guideline
Idle speed 1,950… 2,050 rpm
Info
Turn counterclockwise to increase the idle speed.
Turn clockwise to decrease the idle speed.
17.4 Checking the basic position of the shift lever

– Sit on the vehicle in the riding position and determine the distance A between the
upper edge of your boot and the shift lever.

– Remove screw 1 and take off shift lever 2.

– Clean gear teeth A of the shift lever and shift shaft.
– Mount the shift lever on the shift shaft in the required position and engage the
gearing.

The range of adjustment is limited.
The shift lever must not come into contact with any other vehicle compo-
nents during the shift procedure.
– Mount and tighten the screw.
