11.14 Adjusting the spring preload of the fork (EXC‑F EU, EXC‑F AUS, XCF‑W)

– Turn the adjusting screws counterclockwise all the way.

Make the same adjustment on both fork legs.
– Turn back clockwise by the number of turns corresponding to the fork type.

Comfort 1 turn
Standard 2 turns
Sport 2 turns
Info
Turn clockwise to increase spring preload; turn counterclockwise to reduce
spring preload.
Adjusting the spring preload has no influence on the absorption setting of
the rebound damping.
Basically, however, you should set the rebound damping higher with a
higher spring preload.
11.15 Handlebar position

On the upper triple clamp, there are two holes at a distance of A to each other.
Hole distance A 15 mm (0.59 in)
The holes on the handlebar supports are placed at a distance of B from the center.
Hole distance B 3.5 mm (0.138 in)
The handlebar supports can be mounted in four different positions.
11.16 Adjusting handlebar position x
Warning
Danger of accidents Handlebar breakage.
– If the handlebar is bent or straightened it will cause material fatigue, and the handlebar can break. Always replace handle-
bar.

– Remove the four screws 1. Remove the handlebar clamps. Remove the handlebar
and lay it to one side.

Protect the motorcycle and its attachments from damage by covering them.
Do not bend the cables and lines.
– Remove the two screws 2. Remove the handlebar supports.
– Place the handlebar supports in the required position. Fit and tighten the two
screws 2.
