Filling up with gear oil

Too little gear oil or poor-quality oil results in premature wear to the transmission.

ಥ Remove the screw cap and fill up with gear oil.

ಥ Mount and tighten screw cap

sciousness and/or death.
ಥ When running the engine, always make sure there is sufficient ventila-
tion, and do not start or run the engine in a closed space.
ಥ Start the engine and check that it is oil-tight.
ಥ Check the gear oil level. ( P. 138)

ಥ Remove gear oil level check screw.
200118-11
ಥ Remove screw cap. Stand the vehicle upright.
ಥ Top up with gear oil until it flows out of the bore of the gear oil level screw.

ಥ Mount and tighten the gear oil level check screw.
