Thetwinestorageboxcancarryupto6ballsoftwine,
dependingontwineballsize:

4ballsof285mm(11.2in)diameter
•
5ballsof270mm(10.6in)diameter
•
6ballsof225mm(8.9in)diameter
Openthefrontupperaccessdoorandplace2to6twine
ballsinthestoragebox,asshowninFigure1.
If6ballsareused,tietheinsideendofeachouterballC
directlytotheoutsideendofballB.Tietheinsideendof
ballBtotheoutsideendofballA,afterroutingitthrough
themetaleyelet(1)inthetwineboxroof.Tiethetwine
tailstogetherwithasmallsquareknotandcutoffthetails
ofthisknot.
Twineballdividerplates(2)assistinkeepingthetwine
ballsinplace.Theycanberemovedandrelocatedin
otherholestohold6or5twineballsinplace.When4
ballsof285mm(11.2in)areused,onlythemiddledivider
platecanbeused.

Routetheendofeachtwineballthroughtheirrespective
eyelet(1),throughthetwinetensioner(2)andthroughthe
porcelainguide(8).
Thenwrapthetwinearoundthetwinepatternpulley(3),
routeitthroughtheeyelet(7),inbetweenbothfeedrolls
(6)andthroughtheeyelet(5):thelastpartofthisproce-
dureismadeeasierbythepossibilityofturningtherolls
(6)upwards,aftershiftingthethreadedrod(4)forwards.
Leaveatailofabout15-20cm.
NOTE:Thepatternpulleyhas6twinegrooveswith3dif-
ferentdiameters,2groovesperdiameter.Itisveryim-
portanttoalwayswrapbothtwinesaroundthesamedi-
ameter,butusingdifferentgrooves.Whenwrappingthe
twinesaroundthepatternpulley,makesuretheleftand
righttwinesdonotcrosseachother(riskofentangle-
ment).Afterhavingroutedthetwinescorrectly,takeup
slackinthetwineroutingbetweenthetwinetensioners
andthefeedrolls.
