LatchMechanicalAdjustments
Whenthetailgatelatchesdonotfunctionproperlysuch
as:
•
Thetailgateopensprematurely,
•
Thetailgatefailstoopen(latchesfailtodisengage),
•
Thelatchengagesordisengagesononeside,and
notontheotherside,
Thefollowingpointscanbecheckedandcorrectedas
necessary:
1.Withthetailgateproperlyclosed(freefromcropac-
cumulationpreventingthetailgatetofullyclose;the
tractorhydraulicsystemintheoatposition),verify
thatthetailgatehingesareingoodconditionaswell.
2.Verifythatthedensityspringisretracted,therub-
berdampers(1)pressedrmlyagainstthetailgate
frame.Adjusttherubberdamperstoobtainaclear-
anceX=5-7mm(0.2-0.3in),equallyonboth
sides.
