Read Block Limits Command
The Read Block Limits command establishes the longest and shortest record size
supported by the tape drive. This command returns six bytes of data.
• When the DIV feature is not enabled the Maximum Block Length reported by the
Read Block Limits command is 2,097,152 bytes.
• When the DIV feature is enabled the Maximum Block Length reported by the
Read Block Limits command is increased by 4 bytes to account for the extra bytes
of PI data (2,097,156 bytes).
