When the presser
bar
lift
er
is
flicked
to
position I (Fig.
131
),
the presser
bar
is
raised,
but
the
needle
thread
tension
is
not released. This position
is
ideal for
embroidering
and
darning
(with
or
without foot)
and
obviates the use
of
a
do
rning hook.
When
the presser
bar
lifter is set
at
position
II,
it
disengages
the needle
th
read
tension, thus facilitating the
removal
of
the work from the
machine.
Pfaff has
brought
out
a tool kit containing a complete set
of
the tools required
for
the performance
of
repairs
away
from the
repair
shop
at
the
customer's
home. A
second
tool kit with a
large
r set
of
tools
is
available
for
the
repair
of
industrial sewing machines.
