4. Compress the mounting bracket and make sure the
dust seals are fully seated. Install the brake pads.
Clean the disc and pads with brake parts cleaner or
denatured alcohol to remove any dirt, oil or grease.
Installation
5. Install caliper on hub strut, and torque mounting bolts
to specification.
6. Install brake line and torque the banjo bolt to
specification.
7. Install the adjuster screw and turn until stationary pad
co
ntacts disc, then back off 1/2 turn.
8. Perform brake bleeding procedure as outlined earlier
in t
his chapter.
9. Install wheels and torque wheel nuts
to specification.
Refer to Chapter 2.
Brake Caliper Mounting Bolt Torque:
18 ft.lbs. (24 Nm)
15 ft.lbs. (21 Nm)
18 ft.lbs.
(24 Nm)
Brake Line Banjo Bolt Torque:
15 ft.lbs. (21 Nm)
