9. Remove the E-clip

and roller

. Check
both rollers in the stationary sheave for wear. If
rollers are worn, you must inspect the helix for wear.
If the helix roller surface

is worn down, a new
driven clutch assembly will be needed.
10. Inspect the bearings
s
inside the moveable sheave.
If it is significantly worn, the clutch must be replaced.
11. Inspect driven clutch sheave faces for wear or
damage.
12. Clean and inspect splines on helix and transmission
input shaft.
13. Lube splines with a light film of grease. Do not
lubricate the bearings!
CLUTCH ASSEMBLY
1. Install the rollers, washers and E-clips.
2. Align the “X” marks
q
on each of the sheaves.
3. Install the same thrust washers
w
between the
sheaves as removed during disassembly.
4. Assemble the clutch sheaves by aligning the rollers
and the helix.
5. Position the spring washer (early build only), spring,
spring cup and retaining ring into moveable sheave.
Do not apply oil or grease to the bearings.
