2. Loosen stabilizer bar arm fasteners.
3. Establish a reference point common to both sides of
the vehicle (i.e. spring coupler or part of shock
assembly lines up with a tooth on the stabilizer bar).
4. Install drop links once both stabilizer bar arms are
clocked identically.
BALL JOINT REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL
1. Remove the retaining ring

from the ball joint
w
.
2. Place a proper sized driver on the ball joint and place
the control arm in a press.
3. Carefully press the ball joint out of the control arm
and discard the ball joint.
INSTALLATION
1. By hand, install the NEW ball joint into the control
arm.
2. Using a press, carefully drive in the new ball joint into
the control arm.
IMPORTANT
Press adapter MUST engage the outer flange of the ball
joint as shown. NOT on the rolled lip of the ball joint.
3. After the new ball joint

is fully installed into the
control arm
w
, inspect the snap ring groove for any
damage, dirt, or debris. Clean groove, if necessary.
NOTICE
A pick, stiff bristled brush, or other suitable tool may be
used to clean the snap ring groove.
