inapositiontoassistintherescue.Thedistressrelayinformationisdisplayedonscreen.
Whenadistressrelayisreceived:
1.Select
Showinfofromtheoptionstoreviewtherelevantdetails.
2.Ifthedistressrelaywassentindividuallytoyou,select
Accepttosendadistressrelay
acknowledgement.
3.Ensuretheradioistunedtochannel16.
Note:Distressrelaycallscanonlybeacknowledgedautomaticallywhensentindividuallytoyou.

Makinganurgencycall
Anurgencycallshouldbeusedwhenthereisdangertoavehicleorpersonthatdoesnotrequire
immediateassistance.Urgencycallsaretransmittedtoallstations.

1.SelectUrgency.
2.Selectthechannelforsubsequentcommunication.
Thecallistransmitted.Oncethecallhasbeensuccessfullytransmitted‘Sent’isdisplayed
onscreenandthechannelischangedtothespecifiedchannel.
3.Pressthe
OKbutton.
4.Pressandholdthe PTTbuttonandspeakthefollowingmessage:

Thisis—MMSIofyourvessel,nameofyourvesselrepeated3times,callsignofyourvessel.
Position—Y ourvessel’sposition.
